A Book That Changed My Life: Angels in My Hair by Lorna Byrne

Angels in My Hair by Lorna Byrne was recommended to me by one of my Reiki clients. She mentioned it four times before I finally downloaded it on Audible. Listening to audio books is not normally my preferred reading method, but this story is told in first person, and who doesn’t love being told a story. It was captivating, and I was easily motivated to get to it each day. Lorna grew up during a time of political instability in Ireland. Intertwined with the struggles of a young mom during this time of unrest, Lorna is able to describe in vivid detail the role that her guidance from the angels played in her life. She paints a picture for us of how the angels are helping us to live our authentic life; the one we are intended to live, and to serve our divine purpose.

I am familiar with the energy of angels because I work with their energy everyday as a Reiki master. Over time, I have absorbed information from different people, classes, books, and just my own experiences. This story of young Lorna growing up in Ireland with the angels all around her, helping her, and guiding her, gave me a glimpse into a perspective I didn’t have: Lorna’s experiences allow us to learn about the roles angels play in our lives; from our angel guides to the angels of death, she gives us the full picture, of how the angels explained themselves to her.

The part of her story that really changed my life was so simple. The angels want us to ask for their help, and guidance. They want to be useful to us, but many people don’t even think to ask. I started doing this daily, and sharing that with my clients. Hearing how the angels were instrumental in helping Lorna, and the people around her, and seeing how they have shown up in my world, has given me a new perspective. We really do have angels conspiring in our favor.
