My Journey from Feeling Lost to Finding Purpose

For most of my life, I felt unseen. I worked in many jobs—from retail to teaching—where I was expected to be a superhuman, yet devoid of a conscience or any sort of empathy. My greatest gifts, kindness and compassion, were often viewed as weaknesses. I learned to suppress my true self just to get by.

When I entered the world of direct sales, I thought I had found my place. My people skills were a key ingredient to success, and I finally started to get the external validation I craved. I thought I was being respected as a person. But when companies closed or leaders moved on to the next big thing, the relationships vanished. I learned that I was just a number. It was a painful lesson, and I never wanted anyone to ever feel that way. I committed to being a better leader by setting myself apart in the way I treated people.

Then the pandemic hit. Suddenly, the in-home sales model was no longer safe, and once again, I was dropped. My business was treated like a transaction, and my connections disappeared.

No longer Feeling Lost

But this time was different. This time, instead of looking for validation from someone else, I leaned into a path I had only just started exploring. I had taken a Reiki certification class on a whim in 2019, and I felt a pull to go deeper. When I did, something shifted inside me. I went from feeling like I was always looking for someone to tell me I was doing a good job, to people coming to me and telling me I was making a huge impact in their lives.

I realized the lost feeling I had carried for so long was because I was trying to become something society deemed valuable, instead of validating the gifts I already had. I can't treat people like a sale or a student on an assembly line. When I was given the opportunity to be the best version of myself, fulfill my true calling as a healer, and connect with people on a deep level, all the pieces finally clicked.

The final piece fell into place last year. My foot was crushed in a bizarre accident, forcing me to stop completely. I spent the entire summer off my feet, and I knew this wasn't just a physical break. It was breaking open something in me, forcing me to get still. That time gave me the space to finally see that I needed the flexibility to be free to develop my own programs, collaborate with my community, and be creative. I had never thought of opening my own space, but my community came through for me, and I realized it was not only possible, it was my next step.

Finding My Purpose

Today, I see my purpose as using my healing modalities—Reiki, Intuitive Coaching, Akashic Records readings, and Psychic Mediumship—to provide guidance and support, create a safe community, and help others to find their own inner power.
